masgrebnesor Throughout the first open qualifier tournament of 2022, a number of agents stood in the spotlight. Across many maps, Astra and Sova were present, but the degree to which they dominated, and the agents that surrounded them, changed on a map by map basis. Below are graphics detailing the play rate of different heroes depending on which map was being played.

The first week of Road to Nationals is in the books in Flesh and Blood, and already 17 tournaments have taken place to select players for the National Championships later in 2021. Below I have produced an interactive graphic from the data supplied by LSS over at https://fabtcg.com/articles/road-nationals-coverage-week-one/. To interact with the graphic, hover over the rectangles either on the top or bottom of the graphic. This will show each hero’s Top 8 to victory conversion rate. I hope to make more visuals like this, pending future access to more interesting data!

We can see from the data that the top 8s have included a large amount of both Katsu and Chane, with the former taking the victory in the largest number of events. Prism is one of the most interesting heroes, with a whopping 18 top 8s but not taking down a single tournament. We’ll see if the luck of Prism players at those top tables turns around. With whisperings of a dual-modal dash deck in the works, I’m also curious to see if we’ll experience a rise of Dash to prominence as more and more players pick up the deck. I’ve heard it has a good Katsu matchup, and given that hero’s prevalence, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Dash pick up in popularity.
In the future, I hope to gain data on all decks entered into tournaments. Top 8 data requires underlying tournament-level data to show conversion and create interesting insights, so hopefully, I will have access to that sort of data.
Masters 1 seems like it was just yesterday, and we already are in full swing in the qualifiers for Valorant’s Masters 2. I still wanted to take a look back at Masters 1 to see what stats look like at the pinnacle. This visual looks at the headshot percentage of players around the scene and their performance during this first major tournament. To make the most of the visual, you can hover over any of the circles to see the player with that specific headshot percentage. Behind each region’s data, a boxplot shows the median and spread of each region’s results.
I did not go through robust statistical analysis (although I can look into that in the future). Rather, this is meant to give a good idea of how the regions compare at an overall level. It’s possible to see who the standout competitors are when it comes specifically to aiming and headshot percentage.
The stats above detail the total percent of clutches pulled off by players in Masters 1. You can select a minimum number of total clutches to make sure the sample size is to your liking, and searching for a played shifts them to the far left of the bar graph. Hovering your mouse (or clicking on mobile) displays the total number of clutches participated in and the number of times the players found themselves in a clutch situation.
